The Mission

Justice Knights was founded on January 11, 2011 in DC Universe Online on the PlayStation “Killing Joke” PvP Server. Originally created by three players with more than 30 years of combined MMO player and leadership experience, Justice Knights has grown into a gaming community with more than 500 registered members over the years across PlayStation and PC.

DC Universe Online is where Justice Knights began, but today our community extends beyond any one game. Our members play together across multiple games and genres while continuing to build the friendships, teamwork, and sense of community that have defined Justice Knights since the beginning.

Our name and main logo are registered trademarks. The JK symbol has traditionally been the Chess Knight, or horse, representing strength, loyalty, and intelligence.

Our motto is:
“Once a Knight, Always a Knight.”

Even when members are no longer actively playing the same game, many continue to stay connected through Discord, Facebook, and other platforms. Some of the friendships created through Justice Knights have lasted for years and extend well beyond gaming.

Our Philosophy

Our main philosophy is simple: we value FUN over requirements.

We are a casual gaming community. We enjoy everything from relaxed group play to difficult, competitive, and end-game content, as long as the experience remains enjoyable for the people involved.

We emphasize the quality of the person over the quantity of players. We would rather lead than dictate, and we encourage members to share ideas that can make the community better.

Justice Knights also supports member-created projects and activities, including live streams, videos, podcasts, virtual comics, community events, gaming nights, and other creative projects.

When representing Justice Knights in the games we play, we ask members to create original character or player names that fit appropriately within that game or community. For example, in DC Universe Online, members traditionally use comic-book-style character names.

We also take membership seriously. Our recruitment process is designed to help ensure that new members are a good fit for the community. Our focus has always been on the person behind the controller, keyboard, or screen — not simply their stats, skill level, or accomplishments in a game.
